The Škoda Citigo is a small car produced in Bratislava, Slovakia. Citigo production started in October 2011, and the car will be launched in the Czech Republic first, then in the rest of the Europe, as well as Asian (except Japan and Korea) and Russian markets, in 2012. Currently there is only a three-door-version. The five-door version should come in 2012. Two engine options are available. Boot space is 251 litres, or 951 litres with the rear seats folded down. The drag coefficient is 0.33.

The car shares the same Volkswagen Group MQB platform with the Volkswagen up! and the SEAT Mii, as a result of the New Small Family project. Along with its two sisters, the Citigo is the first car in its class to offer an automated braking system – called “City Safe Drive” by Škoda. The system is automatically activated at speeds below 30 km/h (19 mph) as a laser sensor identifies a danger of collision and activates the brakes.
